Сеть Windows Internet Name Service служба имен интернет для Windows Служба Windows, обеспечивающая разрешение имен NetBIOS и адресов. Сервис, разработанный специально для обеспечения гибкого решения проблем, связанных с обнаружением ресурсов NetBIOS в сетях, построенных на базе протокола TCP/IP. WINS использует динамически распределенную базу данных, содержащую соответствия имен компьютеров их IP-адресам.
